Our long beach walk

We had an amazing beach walk with our older children. The weather was unseasonably warm with not a breath of wind so we decided to put on our walking shoes and go on a long walk along the beach to a local mermaid's pool. The children were absolute troopers as they carried their own water, and snacks and kept a good pace as the morning went along. We walked for 2 hours and eventually (after a lot of asking "are we there yet?") made it to the most beautiful, fresh, and sparkling mermaids pool built into the rock pools. The children were delighted as we all jumped in to cool off. They played in the dunes, swam in the crystal clear water, and watched the waves crash on the rocks. It was a perfect morning. Memories to last a lifetime!
