EVERYBODY LOVES THE BEACH! Any time the sun is shining and the wind is calm we get met with 40 children asking us “Please can you take us to the beach?” and it is our greatest joy to say “YES!”. On this particular beach outing, we weren’t able to swim due to high tides, however, we set up many fun beach games for the kids. We played soccer (where the Grade 2 boys dominated the field!), stuck in the mud, touches, and had an amazing sand-castle building competition. The grade 1s won with their beautiful “neighborhood’ in the sand – complete with a grocery store, cave, and safe house! The setting sun sent us home with sandy feet and full-hearts, as we thanked God for the gift of His beautiful creation that we get to enjoy!
